Champions Trophy 2025
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has left it up to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to convince the BCCI to send its team to Pakistan for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has been tasked by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) with persuading the British and Commonwealth India (BCCI) to send a team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, which is slated to take place in the first quarter of 2019. A PCB insider claims that although the Champions Trophy funding was authorised during the most recent ICC conference in Colombo, there was absolutely no discussion about the timetable or structure. “Now that the PCB is hosting the Champions Trophy, it has fulfilled its obligation. The event’s budget, draft schedule, and format have all been submitted, according to a PCB insider.
“The timing of the Champions Trophy schedule’s distribution, discussion, and finalisation is now up to the ICC. According to the draft schedule, the PCB recommended holding all of India’s matches—including the semifinal and final, should India advance—in Lahore,” the player stated.
According to a different source, the PCB has already sent the ICC their expression of interest paperwork, which contains all the information needed to host the Champions Trophy.
He continued, “The PCB, for its part, has provided the ICC with written information regarding the tax procedures, venue choices, and government approval for the Indian team to be hosted in Pakistan for the mega event.”
When the PCB first expressed interest in organizing the event, it was submitted.
